Born in 1987 in Switzerland, Nicolas Bamert—also known as L’Original—is a contemporary artist based in Lausanne. Trained as an engineer, he discovered his true vocation in 2005, when he began painting vibrant murals in abandoned spaces.

In 2014, he left everything behind to devote himself fully to art and moved to Berlin. There, he developed a singular universe that blends monumental paintings, immersive installations, and experiments with fire. His work opens a window onto the imagination, celebrating freedom, poetry, and a sense of wonder.

Balancing technical rigor with intentional creative recklessness, L’Original invites viewers into a utopian world guided by his alter ego—round glasses, boundless curiosity, and a playful, contagious fantasy.
