Kelu Abstract

Born in 1982 in Lille, Kelu Abstract is a French urban artist, photographer, and musician who lives and works in his hometown. A former special-education teacher, he brings to his art the deep human sensitivity shaped by that experience.

Since 2017, he has been engaging with public space through stencil portraits and acrylic collages. Seeking to create connection and stir emotion, he develops a restrained, deeply humane visual world, often on singular surfaces such as oxidized metal or torn posters.

As an assistant to Jef Aérosol, he refined his technical craft while asserting a stark black-and-white aesthetic, punctuated with subtle touches of color. At the crossroads of social engagement and visual poetry, his work invites reflection and dialogue.
