Born in 1970 near Hanover, Michel Pietsch aka Cren is a German artist living and working in Berlin since 2009. Rooted in 80s hip-hop culture and inspired by French graffiti, he has developed a unique style blendinglettering, Pop Art and abstraction. After starting out in wildstyle graffiti, he transferred his art to canvas, exploring mixed media techniques that combine spray paint, stencils, and freehand painting. His work, exhibited in over fourteen countries, is distinguished by a quest for balance between form, color, and movement.
